Minimally Invasive Dentistry
We employ a holistic approach to patient care that explores the functional defects and aesthetic desires of a patient. Whenever possible, we recommend treatments with minimal intervention options for diagnosis and treatment technology. When doing so, we consider the psychology, health, function and aesthetics of the patient. The patient's concerns and desires are addressed in the first stages of planning, in order to minimize invasive treatments in the future. We seek to select treatment procedures with the goal of maximum preservation of healthy oral tissues.
In combination with high resolution digital SLR photography, intraoral cameras have revolutionized the way we diagnose dentistry. We'll take pictures of your smile during your exam and after treatment to document your amazing transformation. If you want a glimpse of your new smile prior to beginning treatment, we can use our digital imaging software to create a high-resolution preview showing the proposed effects of specific therapies.
CAD CAM (Computer Assisted Design) and 3D Treatment Planning
CAD CAM Dentistry has revolutionized how we practice. We are proud to be able to provide restorations in porcelain or titanium with fit and precision never before available in dentistry.
We have re-designed our dental practice so that it reflects our commitment to the well-being of our patients, team, local community, and global environment through:
- energy and water efficiency
- noise and waste reduction
- improved air quality
- recycling programs
- elimination of toxic materials
Oral ID - Oral Cancer Screening
This is the OralID oral cancer detection system. This is the quickest and most effective way to identify abnormalities. The entire "procedure" takes two minutes. The Oral ID light shines into the mouth detecting abnormalities.
"Silver fillings," as they are sometimes called, are actually amalgam restorations, consisting of mercury, silver, tin, copper, and zinc. Mercury is a toxic heavy metal. Dr. Harding’s office has been mercury-free since 1993. We have many metal free alternatives for you to select from.
The comfort of our patients is a priority. Since many people fear shots most of all, we utilize a computer-controlled local anesthetic delivery system. This process is designed to minimize anxiety by delivering an injection that many of our patients report as undetectable. Computerized anesthesia helps us to achieve a controlled, effective, and virtually pain-free injection even in the thickest gum tissues.
Digital X-Rays and Dexis Digital Diagnostic Imaging
Our practice uses digital radiography to obtain a crystal clear picture of internal and external oral structures. Digital images let Dr. Harding see things not otherwise visible during an exam, such as cavities between teeth, bone health and level, and tooth nerves and roots. The images also aid in diagnoses of cysts or tumors, and help to better assess damage caused by trauma.
Resolution of extremely complex dental issues requires a team of professionals. Our practice has assembled an outstanding team of recommended doctors with exemplary knowledge and skills, able to deliver the personalized care you deserve. If you require the care of one or more specialists, Dr. Harding will combine his expertise with that of others to ensure that you receive the care you need for optimal oral health. Dr. Harding will personally oversee all phases of your treatment until the desired outcome is reached.
